Buick is a brand of premium and high-end cars in the United States founded in 1899 and owned by the General Motors industrial group since its founding in 1903. Since its inception, Buick models are placed in the luxury category , above brands such as Chevrolet, Pontiac and Oldsmobile, although below Cadillac. Its main competitor has been Mercury, from the rival Ford Motor Company group.
