This is the front of Waterous W59 fire hydrant. Presumably red when it was installed in 1961 it is now fading to a chalky pink, almost peach.

A Waterous W67 Pacer fire hydrant. Waterous began manufacturing this model hydrant in 1967 and still does today. As with another blue hydrant I believe the color here indicates the water comes from a nearby body of water.
