This is a great poster design for the Brookfield Zoo, located in Illinois designed by artists of the Works Progress Administration. The bright bold lime green and blue colors play nicely with the polar bear who's the main focus of the print. This would make a great addition to a kiddo's room, over a mantle on the fireplace or just about anywhere! I discovered this small historic church in the rural community of Uigg (pronounced U-igg) during my travels of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The elegant simplicity of the Uigg Baptist Church is a testament to the Scottish pioneers who settled the area in 1829, coming from their home in Uig, Isle of Skye. Constructed in 1874, it has the original clapboard siding, with sets of 3 Gothic Revival windows complete with glazing bars and original glass on each side. It is registered as a Historic Place, in the province of Prince Edward Island. This is a panoramic color photo of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C.. The memorial is located on the shore of the Potomac River Tidal Basin. The photo was taken on a stormy fall morning.

Including the road sign completed the story in this image. There are many crossroads located in PEI that have retained their historic name from early settlement times. Canoe Cove is one of them. The Canoe Cove School was built in approximately the year 1850. School consolidation swept the Island in the 1960s, and small schools, including Canoe Cove, were put out to pasture. Age of electric power. Vintage switch board inside the Canadian Niagara Power Plant control room. The first major power plant on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, CNP was completed in 1905 to produce hydroelectricity by using the power of the Niagara River. It was decommissioned in 2006 and acquired by Niagara Parks in 2009. Presently closed to the public, Niagara Parks plans to transform the historic Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station into a landmark attraction and multi-use visitor space.

The Bowdoin Paper Manufacturing Company is a historic mill building located in Topsham, Maine. The mill was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1974.

John Minor Wisdom United States Court of Appeal Building New Orleans Louisiana by Debra Martz New York architect James Gamble Rogers originally designed the 3 story granite building as a post office combination court building in 1909 with an opening in 1915. By the 1960s the post moved to a larger facility and in 1965, following Hurricane Betsy, the McDonough NO 35 high school found refuge there. After a number of renovations, and most currently the one after Hurricane Katrina, it now houses the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The iconic Colorado Street Bridge at dusk in Pasadena, California. Built in 1913, it is an example of a concrete arch bridge. It spans 453 meters (1486 feet) and has been a filming site for movies and TV. In 1989, following the Loma Prieta earthquake, it was declared a seismic hazard and closed to traffic until 1993, following a major retrofit. The church is located in the historic centre of Palermo, Sicily. A beautiful monument, a mix of styles and cultures: Arabic, Byzantine and Norman. A church with semi-spherical red cupolae, a wonderful garden and cloisters, with a bell-tower from which you get a magnificent view of the church itself and over part of Palermo.
