Our ghoulish rendition of the Major Arcana tarot card The Lovers

The Fool is a tarot card that is well known and beloved by many. We knew we had to include this design in our latest batch of spooky tarot designs. In our version, the Fool is portrayed as a creepy jester, perfect for any Halloween-buff. This card carries the number “0” to represent the unlimited potential of the subject. Just as you see in the Rider-Waite deck, our Fool is depicted as carefree, standing on the edge of a precipice with no regard to the dangers that may await him. He carries with him his modest bag of belongings and in one hand holds a white rose. The rose represents the Fool’s innocence and purity. The dog at his feet is a companion, as signified by his matching costume. He represents loyalty and protection, ...

The guardian of the gates of hell, Cerberus, is pictured here in the Major Arcana tarot card Strength. He allows no one to pass except the mistress of hell. She passes as the seasons changes and controls the creature with her gentility.

This spooky design boasts a gothic take on the tarot card The Moon. It features a full moon with a crater of a jack o lantern face. A transforming werewolf replaces the dog & wolf from the traditional representing the tamed & wild aspects of the mind.

The High Priestess is a card that is associated with intuition and the subconscious in its upright position. When reversed, it represents a lack of inner voice and repressed feelings. For this card, we decided to portray Medusa as the titular character. Here, Medusa sits upon a throne of her enemies who were turned to stone. These statues act as the “veil” that conceals what lies beyond. Her feminine beauty intertwined with her monstrous intensity represent her intuition, fertility, and divine femininity. Behind her throne on either side, we see two pillars. They are marked with the Greek letters “Π” “ά.” These are the first letters in the Greek spelling of Persephone and Hades. The Fool depicts a youth walking joyfully into the world. He is taking his first steps, and he is exuberant, joyful, excited. He carries nothing with him except a small sack, caring nothing for the possible dangers that lie in his path.

Characters from the gothic novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the centerpiece of this spooky rendition of the tarot card The World. What separates the two is the potion Jekyll uses to transform into Hyde. The cyclical nature of life is the theme for this card as is shown by the potion portal & the full and empty bottles in each character's hand.

Water pours from each container with her left passive hand representing the subconscious and her right assertive hand symbolizing the conscious. A large star in the sky shines brightly as the seven sea stars in her hair represent the chakra natures. A raven flies towards the star and is a symbol of wisdom and mystery.
