To celebrate World Bee Day I went out late this afternoon for a spot of local wildlife photography - set upon getting an image that exemplified all that is bees... There was quite a variety of different bees about, ranging from the most massive bumble bee on rhododendron to smaller apids, such as small mason bees... but nothing as an image really grabbed me... It was only towards the end of the day that I stumbled upon a large patch of wild buttercups where the light was gradually lowering yet just lighting the subject - just right... The angle of incidence helped with this capture and I managed to capture the bee in flight yet keeping sharpness on the subject matter. Decided to call it the "Humdinger Of Life" Happy World B...

Well then. That’s a real Humdinger.
