Ear Sundews (Drosera Auriculata) are quite difficult to photograph, as they have a long slender stem with a single pink flower on the end. This makes it difficult to include the sticky "ears", with which they catch insects, and the flower. I was lucky to find this twisted specimen, with a vey pretty flower.

Ear Sundews (Drosera Auriculata) tend to grow separately from each other - less competition for the insects they feed on. It's quite unusual to find a pair of them twined around each other like lovers!

Trigger Plants are quite hard to photograph - they have one long slender stem, waving about in the wind, with a few pink flowers along it. These three Grass Trigger Plants had been tangled together by the wind and made a much better composition! Their proper name is Stylidium Graminifolium, and they are insectivorous.

Once common throughout Eastern Europe, using the warrens and burrows of other animals and naturally forming warrens to raise and care for their young, even capable of feeding their offspring a layer of fatty skin. Once matured they would adopt a diet mainly consisting of invertebrates, using a combination of their wings and moonlight to attract nocturnal organisms and providing an important ecosystem service by controlling pest species such as Ticks, Flees and other virus carrying creatures.
