The lake District - A place of pure natural beauty and certainly one of my own favourite places to visit in the UK hence where the inspiration came from in creating this art piece. For those who don't know, it is a popular national park amongst walkers, hikers, climbers, campers and many other outdoor sports enthusiasts and the views are some of the best on the planet.

A beautiful calm day at Derwentwater afforded the opportunity to pick up some lovely reflections of the Skiddaw mountain range reflected the the still waters.

I spent some time in the Lake district recently. I can't believe I live so close but have rarely spent time there. Peace and tranquility everywhere :)

One of my favourite places in the world to visit has to be the Lake District in England. I love the many scenic landscape views the lake district has to offer and it is a place of pure natural beauty. This design incorporates Stickle Tarn into it and is entitled 'Love view'.

An Autumn view of the Lake District fells North of Keswick and Derwentwater, where the Cumbria Way and other footpaths take walkers up into the fells and the the viewpoint at Latrigg. Can you see the walkers heading up the peak? Were you there ?

Loweswate, in the Western Lake District. The lake is surrounded by fells and a small amount of woodland. The fell to the right of the picture is Darling Fell. Although close to the town of Cockermouth it is less popular with tourists so offers a quiet stroll - perhaps to Holme Force waterfall which is on the south side of the lake. Taken here as an Autumn landscape.

Misty view over the English Lakes

Wastwater is one of the most Westerly and deepest lakes in the Lake district. In Autumn Wastwater is a breath-taking symphony of nature's colours. The view is looking towards the Northern end of the Lake with the fells and mountains of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike in view. Taken 18th October 2019 Nikon D600 & Nikon 24-85mm

Buttermere in the Lake District

A view of the Wasdale Fells from near Wastwater, looking towards Great Gable mountain and Lingmell fell in the English Lake District. The heavily waterlogged open ground around Hausegreen Crag adds interest with the range of Autumn colours.

Always a popular attraction in the Lake District at Derwent Water, the rowing boats are ready to welcome the next batch of intrepid sailors who want to explore Derwent Water at close quarters!!

Crummock water is 2.5 miles long and located between Loweswater and Buttermere.
