Nottingham City Centre, The Old Market Square Panorama This stunning panorama of Nottingham City Centre, The Old Market Square is made up of 36 separate photographs stitched together using Adobe Photoshop to join the images together. This creates a full 360 degree image in one straight line which gives you this amazing one take view of Nottingham in one photograph. Nottingham Council House is the city hall of Nottingham, England. The 200 feet (61 m) high dome that rises above the city is the centrepiece of the skyline and presides over the Old Market Square (also referred to as the City Centre). Newgale Pebble Beach Enormous! is the only way to describe this beach; it’s almost 2 miles of sand backed by a huge pebble bank formed after a BIG storm in 1859. This photo is a close up of just a small proportion of the pebbles on this huge beach front. Kitesurfing and surfing are popular on this beach and tuition is available. Walk right down to the southern end to find a walk-through cave and numerous sheltered bays. Cross the river, at the back of the pebble bank opposite the cafe at the north end to gain access to several low tide bays. Spurn Point Lighthouse And Groynes The current Spurn Point Lighthouse was established in 1895. After it was decommissioned in 1985, the lighthouse lay derelict for a number of years until it was restored in 2016. Guided tours are available through the Spurn Discovery Centre, which the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust runs. The centre also has on display a section of the former optic from the lighthouse. The current tower replaced the previous old High Lighthouse. It was originally surrounded by accommodation, but the foundations are now overgrown and barely visible. Hutton Le Hole, Yorkshire, UK What a stunning find, Hutton-le-Hole is a small village and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England, about 7 miles north-west of Pickering. It is a popular scenic village within the North York Moors National Park. Sheep roam the streets at will. There are many hikes around this area and all are amazing with views to die for, so get your boots and ruck sack on and head out in any direction you please. Newark Castle On The River Trent Newark Castle, in Newark-on-Trent, in the English county of Nottinghamshire was founded in the mid 12th century by Alexander, Bishop of Lincoln. Originally a timber castle, it was rebuilt in stone towards the end of the century. Dismantled (slighted) in the 17th century as a result of the English Civil War, the castle was restored in the 19th century, first by Anthony Salvin in the 1840s and then by the corporation of Newark who bought the site in 1889. Newark Castle has weathered many historic storms. After the British Civil War, it was deliberately vandalised and as it stands now, partially destroyed, it acts as a reminder of Newark's turbulent history. Demolition Day This building was originally called Paul's Malt or just The Malt Kiln and was visible from miles away as you headed towards Louth in Lincolnshire, UK, England. It's destruction was harder than anyone could have imagined as it was constructed with reinforced concrete with steel rebar hooding it together. Santorini Caldera And Cruise Ships The blue sky and blue sea almost blend in together so much that you cannot tell where one starts and the other finishes. Whitby Abbey And Graveyard Of St Mary's Church A recent trip to the East Yorkshire coast would have been incomplete without a visit to Whitby. This fishing town has it all, a fantastic town and harbour, lots of shops and 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey And Graveyard Of St Mary's Church. Did I mention the links to Dracula? The sky was amazing and the gravestones gave a great foreground interest to this timeless landscape at the top of the cliff. RAF Stenigot Radar Dish And Mast, Lincolnshire,UK Unfortunately these amazing radar dishes are no longer here but they were a destination for photographers like me who like the Urbex post apocalypse look and feel. Stenigot Chain Home Radar Station and Ace High Relay Station The RAF Stenigot Radar Dishes, Lincolnshire were built in the 1950's. This Royal Air Force Radar Station commenced operations in 1938. The 20m-wide long-distance microwave dishes at RAF Stenigot in Lincolnshire were abandoned in the 1980s after the systems became redundant. Brooding cliffs tower over a village of quaint charming cottages which spill right down to the edge of the sea. The Museum of the Revolution is located in the Old Havana section of Havana, Cuba. The museum is housed in what was the Presidential Palace of all Cuban presidents from Mario García Menocal to Fulgencio Batista. Carperby, Yorkshire Dales National Park, Black And White I present to you, one of our favourite places to stay in the UK. The picturesque Yorkshire Dales never disappoints. Carperby is just down the road from the stunning Aysgarth Falls, the iconic waterfalls. There was just so much going on in this image that I converted it to Black And White to simplify the landscape and windswept clouds. Man Mo Temple Incense Coils And Prayers This is One of Hong Kong's most famous urban temples, Man Mo Temple sits on busy Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan. This temple was built by Taoists during the colonial era. One of their gods, the god of literature named Man Cheong, was born in AD 287. The other god, Mo, was born in AD 160. It is said that he fought against oppression and injustice and was killed in 219 at the hands of his enemies. There are other idols there too. The smell from the incense coils hit you as soon as you enter this stunning little temple. The little red tags below the coils are prayers that have been written in Chinese before the coil is lit.
