ST GEORGES CHURCH, THE HIGHWAY, WAPPING. I WAS COMMISSIONED BY A FRIEND, JIMMY COTTINGTON TO PAIN THIS CHURCH, AND ENDED UP DOING 2 CANVASES, THIS ONE IN AUTUMN AND ANOTHER WITH A DRAMATIC SKY TO SHOW UP THE WHITE CHURCH

I painted this as a commission for my friend Jimmy, he is a great supporter of my art and I know he won't mind sharing it, He wanted the church as it was seen as a child from his home in Wapping

Sunny March morning at Newbiggin Bay in Northumberland on the North East coast of England. This image was taken from the southern end of the bay overlooking the rocks and rock pools towards 'The Couple' artwork and St Bartholomew's Church on Church Point.

The Couple artwork stands on a breakwater off the beach at Newbiggin by the Sea in Northumberland and has attracted much comment both pro and con. The work is seen here with the twelfth century church of St Bartholomew and the Church Point Caravan Park in the background
