Thelema is a social or spiritual philosophy derived from Western esotericism. Thelema was developed in the early 1900s by Aleister Crowley, an English writer, mystic, and ceremonial magician. He believed himself to be the prophet of a new age, the Æon of Horus. The central philosophy of Thelema is in two phrases from Liber AL: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law” and “Love is the law, love under will.”

The unicursal hexagram is a six-pointed star which can be drawn in one continuous movement. The points aren’t equidistant, and the lines aren’t the same length (unlike a regular hexagram). You can, however, fit this hexagram inside a circle with all six points touching the circle. The origin of this particular hexagram is the group called Golden Dawn, an esoteric order in Great Britain. An adaptation created by Aleister Crowley is used as a religious symbol by Thelemites. The unicursal hexagram represents macrocosmic forces (sun, moon, and planets), a union of two opposites, and the union of two halves. That it can be drawing in one motion is important in ritual magic.

Labyrinth at Montoso Campground Wild Rivers New Mexico by Debra Martz Over the years we have camped at a number of the campsites at Wild Rivers Recreation, a part of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument north of Questa, New Mexico. This year, however, no camping due to the Covid19 pandemic so we just revisited the many sites and trails. This unicursal labyrinth has been here many years and was just behind the covered picnic table the year we camped at the Montoso camping area. I never did get the story as to when or why but it seems to be appreciated as noone has disturbed it over the many years.
