These are images of random doors and windows that I came across while walking the streets of Comayagua in Honduras. I get intrigued by the richness of the colors, by the lack of colors, by the shoddy paint jobs, by the fact that most of them don’t even look structurally sound (some don’t even have straight lines). And there lies the beauty of most of what I encountered in this country. And BTW, all of these structures are occupied either by a family or by a local business. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software. The following series shows various balconies, doors and windows photographed while walking the streets of Lisbon. Some were quite interesting in their design and colours; others were intriguing to photograph because of their unusual structural characteristics, while others were photographed to depict the beauty in their ugliness. As you peruse this collection you will notice that most were quite lacking in their paint job, others were questionable when it comes to how straight they were or how safe they are, etc... You be the judge which is which. Nevertheless, there is some form of beauty in every one of them.
