Description: The International Hockey League (IHL) was a minor professional ice hockey league in the United States and Canada that operated from 1945 to 2001. The IHL served as the National Hockey League's alternate farm system to the American Hockey League (AHL). After 56 years of operation, financial instability led to the league's demise. Six of the surviving seven teams merged into the AHL in 2001.

The Toledo Goaldiggers played in the International Hockey League from 1974 to 1986, replacing the city's previous team, the Blades (later Hornets). After 10 years in Toledo, that club moved to Lansing, Michigan at the end of the 1973/74 season. The Goaldiggers suspended operations in 1986 and were eventually sold to a group from Kansas City who renamed them the Blades and revived the franchise for the 1990/91 IHL season. Description: Following the departure of the Minnesota North Stars in 1993, the state of Minnesota was left without a professional hockey team. To fill that void, the Minnesota Moose were founded the following year, using the Saint Paul Civic Center as its home arena. After two years in the Twin Cities, the team was sold to a group of Canadian businessmen in 1996 who relocated the team to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and promptly renamed them.

Description: Celebrate SoCal hockey history with this Long Beach Ice Dogs tee! The Long Beach Ice Dogs were established in 1990 as the San Diego Gulls in the International Hockey League. The team moved up the 5 in 1995 and became the Los Angeles Ice Dogs. After one season in the old Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, they moved across town to the Long Beach Sports Arena and took that city's name. In 2000, they moved to the West Coast Hockey League. When that circuit folded, the team joined the East Coast Hockey League before folding in 2007.
Description: Peoria Prancers were an International Hockey League team from 1982-84. The franchise was taken over by the Peoria Civic Center in 1984, which held a contest with the Peoria Journal Star newspaper to rename the team. Rivermen was the winner. They played in Peoria, Illinois at the Carver Arena. A new team with the Peoria Rivermen name currently competes in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
