Kessel Run Merch
Description: The Kessel Run was a hyperspace route used by smugglers and unscrupulous freighter captains to move spice from the spice mines of Kessel at the behest of the Pyke Syndicate, who relied on the foolhardy Kessel Runs to deliver the illicit substance to their customers. Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon, made the infamous run in less than 12 parsecs,[3] boasting about his ship's ability to endure shorter but more hazardous routes through hyperspace. By doing so, Solo broke a long-held record.
Description: A circular emblem with a yellow outline and a dark blue background. The text "49TH ANNUAL" curves along the top, with "CORELLIAN ATHLETIC COUNCIL SPONSORED BY THE REBEL ALLIANCE" in smaller text below. Description: The Kessel Run was a 20-parsec route used by smugglers to move glitterstim spice from Kessel to an area south of the Si'Klaata Cluster without getting caught by the Imperial ships that were guarding the movement of spice from Kessel's mines. The Kessel Run was one of the most heavily used smuggling routes in the Galactic Empire. Han Solo claimed that his Millennium Falcon "made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs".
Description: The spice mines of Kessel, known as the Dark to veteran miners, were a series of labor camps on the planet Kessel, where slaves from various species, Wookiees among them, were forced to mine a medicinal spice mineral into a dangerous drug. Spice mining was extremely dangerous, and slaves were thus used as expendable labor. Life expectancy for humanoid species was two to three years, while Wookiees had an expected survival time of three months. The Yaruba Family of Kessel turned a blind eye to the harvesting of spice on their world, living in luxurious sanctuaries in the southern hemisphere of the planet, while the spice mining took place in the northern hemisphere.
Description: A black background features stylized text at the top reading "MILLENNIUM FALCON THE SHIP THAT MADE THE KESSEL RUN IN LESS THAN 12 PARSECS". Below the text is a detailed rendering of a light blue spacecraft with red accents, depicted in motion with light streaks emanating from behind it and a glowing turquoise energetic effect.
