Map of West Africa 1743 Kids Hoodie

A European map of West Africa from 1743, produced during the period of the Atlantic Slave trade, but before the conquest and colonisation of Africa. The map makes note of many African kingdoms in existence at the time. The illustration in the lower left hand side is supposedly a depiction of a typical African village of the time, although its illustration of elephant tusks portrays the importance placed by the drafters of the map of the ivory trade.
