This little fella (there is only one) used to be a clean and fluffy town dog. He has a bit of poodle in him so I gave him puffy feet then...it was fun as he is only a little guy with little skinny legs.... hes been a vineyard dog since and very old now.. The puffy feet hair cut had to be modified as burrs and grass seeds got stuck....he has been part of our lives for 16yrs+ Hes had many fine adventures here at Magpie Springs. Early in the morning there is often a mist down at the dam. At dawn rays of sunlight shine on the water through the mist.

In May every year the tree dalia flowers. Several cuttings have been tried round the garden at Magpie Springs this one is happy and putting on quite a show. The right spot. Its a tall plant with a thick stem which looks not unlike bamboo. The sky was blue. A friend showed me an enormous slab of timber it was highly polished the grain in it was astonishing. I couldnt resist having a play with the markings..Polished wood tree rings produced a rather nice discovery - I see dolphins.
