Wearing a chain is his borzoi named Baba Yaga, often cuddling into Ivan’s blood-crusty 1930s bear-fur coat or his moth-eaten ‘leisure wear’ tracksuits; for as strong as Ivan’s nostalgia is his well-learned frugality.
