inspired by 1960s pop art

I do a lot of complex patterns and I have also done a series of abstract prints of dancers. It was while I was looking at them that I decided to try something different, more abstract, much more simple and purely digitally created. This is the result.

Burnt orange, lime green and lemon yellow modern frangipani

I created this work using an old toothbrush, some strips of card and various sized round objects. For each colour the strips and objects were arranged and then paint was applied using a flicking technique with the toothbrush to create randomly placed droplets, and it is the interaction of these droplets of various colours that create the patterns.
