Thrown-Away and By-The-Door are legendary hero twins of Native American folklore. Many American Indian tribes incorporate them into their stories, sometimes as enemies, but more often as working together to defeat monsters and other evil antagonists. Usually, the story goes that they were separated at birth. Their mother is murdered by either a monster or evil human while the rest of the tribe is away.
