This work depicts a Cuban street, a riot of peach and raspberry, colours of summer, of heat, and blues, minty, cool, reminiscent of long drinks. The sun is tiring, the party vibe awakening, as the day’s heat soaks into the vibrant, orange stucco. The work is full of life, of contrast and of small details that bring it to life. Dusk is settling over the city. A parcel of sky draws us upwards, bordered by sparking metal rails, and by concrete towers that dwarf us. Dark shadows below are eerie, damp patches of darkness.
