This was the first T-shirt that I made for my college band “The Somethings” themed after Marty Shaughnessy’s song Silver Moon that he performed with us.If I recall correctly the woman depicted lying on the couch is either my grandmother or her mother taken from an old photo.

The third of three pieces in my Joe Versus the Volcano collection is my personal favorite. I love to use silhouettes in my art (can you tell?) and I was happy that my drawing of Tom Hanks came out fairly recognizable in silhouette profile. The scene is a depiction of Joe serenading the unconscious Patricia while stranded in the ocean on his "tight-as-a-drum" luggage, which is one of my most beloved moments in the film.

War is a disaster for the parties involved ,,, many are hurt. If we could understand each other and share beautifully, life would be so peaceful. Aren't we walking under the same moonlight? Why can't we understand and cooperate with each other? May world peace be realized soon without differentiating one from another. To all human beings on this earth ... Greetings Always Peace

"The Moon Under Water" is a 1946 essay by George Orwell, originally published as the Saturday Essay in the Evening Standard on 9 February 1946, in which he provided a detailed description of his ideal public house, the fictitious "Moon Under Water". It was Orwell's last contribution to the Evening Standard. Orwell admitted that "to be fair", he did know of a few pubs that almost came up to his ideal, including one that had eight of the mentioned qualities. The essay finishes: And if anyone knows of a pub that has draught stout, open fires, cheap meals, a garden, motherly barmaids and no radio, I should be glad to hear of it, even though its name were something as prosaic as the Red Lion or the Railway Arms.

The angel of death descends upon an isolated farmhouse, bearing the hebrew character Aleph on its back and accompanied by moths. The Hebrew character Tav rises from the ground like crosses to commemorate the dead within.

Did you know that mermaids in most folk tales are not happy singing half-girl-half-fish, but actually monsters? Cool, huh? Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide. The first stories appeared in ancient Assyria, in which the goddess Atargatis transformed herself into a mermaid out of shame for accidentally killing her human lover. Mermaids are sometimes associated with perilous events such as floods, storms, shipwrecks, and drownings. Mermaids appear in British folklore as unlucky omens, both foretelling disaster and provoking it. That is why I tried to show my mermaid as beautiful, but dark and dangerous looking, she has tentacles for hair and horns. I imagined her being very connected to the Moon...
