The P-40 was the third-most numerous US fighter of World War II. An early prototype version of the P-40 was the first American fighter capable of speeds greater than 300 mph.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. Was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war.

The P-40 Warhawk is a legendary WWII Fighter Plane. It first flew in 1938, and saw combat from 1941 onwards. Famous for its Shark Mouth Nose Art, the P-40 excelled as an air superiority aircraft. This design features a P-40N named 'Boss's Hoss', flown by Flying Tigers & AVG Ace Lt Col W.N. Reed.
