Pemiquid Lighthouse is located in Bristol, Maine, USA. Pemaquid Point is marks the entrance to Muscongus Bay and Johns Bay. The lighthouse was commissioned by John Quincy Adams in 1827. The tower is 38 feet tall. On the first floor of the lighthouse is the Fisherman’s Museum and Keepers House.

This photograph was scanned from a glass slide in a box dated Cambridge 1911 and it was found after some research that the photos are depicting the annual may bumps rowing races on the river Cam in Cambridge. The races are open to all of the college boat clubs from the University of Cambridge, the University Medical and Veterinary Schools and Anglia Ruskin Boat Club. The May Bumps takes place over four days (running from the Wednesday to the Saturday) in mid-June despite the name and is run as a bumps race.
