Metropolis is a 1927 German expressionist science-fiction drama film directed by Fritz Lang and written by Thea von Harbou in collaboration with Lang from von Harbou's 1925 novel of the same name. Intentionally written as a treatment, it stars Gustav Fröhlich, Alfred Abel, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, and Brigitte Helm. Erich Pommer produced it in the Babelsberg Studios for Universum Film A.G. (UFA). The silent film is regarded as a pioneering science-fiction movie, being among the first feature-length movies of that genre. Filming took place over 17 months in 1925–26 at a cost of more than five million Reichsmarks, or the equivalent of about €21 million.

Awakening - I loosely based this piece on a book I read called Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuval where parts of a giant extra terrestrial being were located around the global to create one giant humanoid robot, and how they manage to pilot it. I went for a very industrial vibe with a contrasting sunset to make the subject more imposing.

The Thomas’ soap manufacturing company was established in1823 in Bristol, but with competition from Lever Brothers and ‘Sunlight Soap’, in 1898 the company tried to make similar olive oil soap under the name ‘Puritan Soap’ They continued to sell ‘Puritan’ Soap until 1953 when the factory announced their closing statement and ceased to produce soap in 1954.

Big Black was an influential noise rock, punk and posthardcore band led by Steve Albini, famous producer (Pixies, Nirvana, Neurosis, PJ Harvey...) and later frontman of Shellac. They are known for their aggressive and confrontational sound that blended elements of punk, noise, and industrial rock. This design is a perfect homage to the band's legacy, capturing the irreverent and rebellious spirit that defined their music. The design takes inspiration from the iconic bootleg t-shirt from Fugazi and plays with the band's name in a witty and subversive way. The phrase "This is not a BIG BLACK tshirt" is printed in bold letters, creating a striking contrast against the black background of the t-shirt.
