Merbaby Kids T-Shirts

This little drawing was inspired by the illustrations of Mabel Lucie Attwell - I have a book from my childhood entitled 'A First Peter Pan' and it is adorably illustrated by Attwell.

I would love to tell you that I drew this because it was MerMay and I was participating... but the reality is that I didn't remember until after I had drawn this. Perhaps it was subliminal inspiration?

Not all mermaids are human size! The freshwater pond variety ranges from 4-6" in length. This little one is fast asleep on her lilypad.
