I rewatched one of my favourite shows "Black Sails" (it's amazing, like seriously go watch it) and was in a swashbuckling mood. I also wanted to paint something with meaning, so this one represents the eternal nature of... well, nature. How even the great machines we build will eventually be overtaken by nature, and nature is beyond our species. Kind of a call for humility.

First of all, the Tab S7 is incredible - that S Pen works so well and the tablet is a beast! Possibly the best Android tablet ever made aside from its big sister the S7+. This piece is about a quote made by the first Shi'a Imam, Ali ibn Abu Talib, which I have been thinking about a lot lately. I think it's a profound statement about our place in the universe and the essence of monoreality.

Originally it was just the lilypads but I got so many "add a frog" messages afterwards that I caved and added the little guy in there!

If the Messiah could see what was happening in his Holy Land, he would surely weep. Jerusalem has become a place for God's children to attack each other.

My sister and I saw the most beautiful Flamenco show in Granada, and it's been on my mind ever since. The dancers expressed such elegant and confident beauty, while the guitarist's fingers danced along with them over the fretboard. And the singer's powerful voice brought it all together so magnificently. However, I found myself wondering if the female dancer ever tried any of the other roles out from time to time, and for some reason the idea of that seemed worth painting. Not sure exactly why.
