A friend sent me an article about Gore Vidal's life living in Ravello, Amalfi, Italy and this piece brought the experience and emotions reading it to mind.

We went to Ravello on our trip to the Amalfi Coast and ended up at beautiful Villa Cimbrone. A promenade starts at a big wooden door and ends overlooking the ocean. Along the way one walks under bridges that connect the gardens. Baskets are placed as garbage pins and the weather has taken care of the paint on the walls... Here the change in colors resulted in an alien face. August 2016, iphone 6.

We went to Italy and visited Ravello at the Amalfi Coast. Now, any of you who have every been there.. you know, the streets are incredibly narrow and it is best to drive a small car. This photo shows how my husband parked in. I couldn't believe it. It was even tighter a second before I managed to get this shot. I don't know how he did it.. what a perfect way to park the car.
