Seiont River Kids T-Shirts

Living in this area - I have been passing this spot for many years now walking my dog or going for a walk along the quay a very quaint sight notorious and renown for harbour views across to the Caernarfon Castle... I've taken images of it with my smartphone and modern lenses, but nothing really quite cut the mustard for me... and I was after something a little bit different - not out of the ordinary completely but something a little more fitting... I decided upon a 1950's Soviet Union lens - the Jupiter 85mm F2 for this image - it was a bit tighter than I imagined but then it held in the subject matter quite nicely, much better than a 35 or even a nifty 50 I toyed and toiled with filters and after taking some 21 images opted for t...

I spent some time down the river today looking for some kind of landscape shot, after so much macro work, my eye wasn't accustomed to landscapes and but with a new tripod - I managed to get set up for this shot in large format. The bubbles scattered across the pool, were very slowly moving - so I used a long exposure to create their trail in a green whirlpool fashion...

Using filtration technique and long exposure ~ I think I timed this just nicely. Always a wonderful setting... Caernarfon Castle is a spectacle to behold on most good days... and today was superb light ! Unfortunately, the duration of capture... didn't find the swans 'completely crisp' and there's some movement in the picture... but there you are... "You don't always get it all..!!!"

A good friend in Brunei asked me to try capture a shot of Caernarfon Castle in Wales... I think this is it... Wales, where mountains and Castles meet the sea.

As the water rises and the sun-sets across the Caernarfon Castle - I caught the glimmer and reflections of the water across the estuary... the movement across the water a sinusoidal shape...

Very lucky to live in a place with such magnificent views of the Caernarfon Castle and to be situated in an area in which I can be having a drink and think about the sunset ~ and watch it unfolding... Sunsets like these are quite common from where I'm situated and if we keep adding nitrous oxide into the atmosphere - they will be sunsets set to be - more often! We must get a handle on things - but for the time-being at least, I've come back to be in Wales and this is my nirvana. Caernarfon, my town, my home. Iechyd dda Gymru..! Good Health Wales..! In times like these - we certainly 'need these well-wishes' :-)

Cannot seem to find any data online on this so I will have to surmise that this skeleton of an 'old ship' must come from times when shipbuilding was prevalent in Caernarfon and from times of the 19th century. Nothing seems to have been documented ~ and so, I can say that this 'shipwreck' sits across the river seiont at mean tide or water and is a good harbour for wildlife - such as seabirds, such as the cormorant, egret and grey heron... I often spot wildlife on this wreck with binoculars from my home, but I wanted to document - just the wreck in its environment ~ for posterity!
