Description: The Winking Skeever is an inn located in Solitude. It's owned by an Imperial named Corpulus Vinius. Corpulus Vinius says that the reason the inn has such a curious name is because, when he was a child, he had a pet skeever that would wink at him, noting that skeevers used to be much smaller. Thus, he named the inn as such.
Description: The College of Winterhold is a guild of mages centered in Skyrim. It is a faction of magic-users similar to the Mages Guild of Cyrodiil and Morrowind. When the Dragonborn appears, the current Arch-Mage is Savos Aren, with Mirabelle Ervine serving as the Master Wizard. During the faction's main quest, Tolfdir replaces her as Master Wizard. The College is located in the northern section of the city of Winterhold, in northern Skyrim. Instructors of each magical discipline reside within, offering training and various magical wares to members.
Description: The Bannered Mare, serving as Whiterun's most popular gathering place, functions as a tavern and inn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that offers mead, food and a warm, welcoming fire. Almost anyone can be found in the tavern after the shops and stalls close. Its sign is that of a horse carrying a banner. The building has a central tavern area and an adjacent kitchen with a business ledger and strongbox near the roasting spit. To the rear of the main bar area is a small bedroom and office where shady deals may be done. There are two sets of steps to separate bedroom areas. Hulda will always send Saadia over to the player, offering food and drink or, in the quest "In My Time of Need," an option about the Alik'r.
Description: The Drunken Huntsman is a tavern and hunting shop specializing in archery located in the Plains District of Whiterun. The owner, Elrindir, explains the store was named after an incident involving him and his brother after they both consumed "rather too much mead" and went out to hunt - his brother mistook him for a deer and shot him in the rear with an arrow. Elrindir sells a wide assortment of armor and weapons, with an emphasis on bows and arrows, in addition to the tavern's usual fare of food and drink.
Description: Sleeping Giant Inn is a tavern in the town of Riverwood. While Orgnar is the inn's merchant, Delphine serves as proprietor. Its sign depicts the resting head of a giant. Depending on the outcome of the Civil War, Hadvar or Ralof appear here for the Legion or the Stormcloaks, respectively. The Sleeping Giant Inn is a small inn and tavern in the town of Riverwood. Orgnar is the innkeeper, selling food as well as several alchemy ingredients, which can be used at the alchemy lab in the corner by the door. Rooms are normally rented from Delphine. However, when Delphine is traveling elsewhere, Orgnar will rent you a room, even though his dialogue still tells you to talk to Delphine.
Description: Birna's Oddments is a trading shop in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that is located in Winterhold. Birna's family has lived there for generations beyond count, and no amount of natural disaster or unusual magical events are going to drive her out now. Both her and her brother Ranmir live in the house that doubles as a small shop selling a variety of items. She will even part with a strange claw if the price is right. In the evenings, after 7 PM, one can sometimes be allowed into the shop as usual, but Birna does not display the dialogue for buying and selling things.
Description: Dead Man's Drink is a tavern found in Falkreath. Dead Man's Drink is the local inn and is owned by Valga Vinicia. She named the inn Dead Man's Drink because of the town's inside joke, which started from the graveyard that's also the largest graveyard in Skyrim. If you have completed the radiant quest to save Valdr and avenge his fallen comrades, he will be in this tavern.
Description: The Mortar and Pestle is the alchemy shop in Dawnstar, located between Brina's House and Beitild's House. It is run by the elderly Frida who also lives above the main trading room. It consists of one area, The Mortar and Pestle. Like all other stores, The Mortar and Pestle has a number of fixed wares on display scattered around the main trading room. Description: Whiterun is the capital city of Whiterun Hold, in the center of Skyrim. In Whiterun, Nords live in the 'traditional' manner: their lives are simple, harsh, and rooted in ancient ideas. Even the city's fortifications—wooden and stone palisade walls and the sheer defensive advantage offered by its position on a large bluff that raises the city above the surrounding tundra—are archaic by contemporary standards. Due to its central location, Whiterun serves as the commercial heart of Skyrim.
Description: Grave Concoctions is an alchemist's shop in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, located in Falkreath. The shop is owned by Zaria, a Redguard who was drawn to Falkreath by its ancient graveyard. She named the shop to follow suit with an old Falkreath "tradition" in which names typically have to do with death. The shop is the source of potions and alchemical ingredients in the town. During later levels, a Daedra heart can possibly be purchased at the shop. An alchemy lab can also be found within.
Description: Windpeak Inn is the local inn of Dawnstar in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Upon entering the inn for the first time, the Dragonborn will find a group of townsfolk consulting Erandur about their disturbing dreams and will begin Vaermina's Daedric Quest. The inn is owned by Thoring, with bardic entertainment provided by his daughter, Karita. Abelone is the inn's maid.
Description: The Retching Netch is the only inn and tavern in Raven Rock and the only inn on Solstheim. It is located across from the blacksmith Glover Mallory's forge, and is owned by Geldis Sadri. According to Geldis, the inn was named after an amusing incident he witnessed several years ago. One night, he saw one of his regular customers drunkenly singing and stumbling near the docks. As a netch approached him, he threw his bottle of sujamma at it. The bottle smashed on the back of the netch and it became intoxicated before vomiting. A room can be rented for one night like most inns for 10 GoldIcon. When entered, the Dragonborn will be on the ground floor, which has a small interior where Teldryn Sero awaits to be hired for 500 GoldIcon.
Description: The Frozen Hearth is an inn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that is located in Winterhold. As the only profitable business left in Winterhold, the inn serves as the sole place petitioners to the College may stay. As such, Dagur, the owner, has put aside any personal feelings he may have toward wizards and does his best to look on the bright side. Nelacar pays Dagur good money to maintain a small room in the inn where he can do some research on his own, away from the College. He also takes a cut of Enthir's questionable sales downstairs in the cellar.
Description: Four Shields Tavern is an inn in the village of Dragon Bridge in Haafingar. It is the only building on the eastern side of the road through Dragon Bridge. Faida is the proprietor, and Julienne Lylvieve works there while learning the innkeeper trade, hoping to eventually establish her own inn. Like all inns in Skyrim the entrance leads directly into the common room, which has a fire pit down the middle of the room. There are five long wooden tables and benches against the side walls with a selection of bottles of alto wine and wine as well as a few loaves of bread on all the tables. The left-hand table against the north wall also has a flower basket containing two pine thrush eggs and a chicken's egg.
Description: Braidwood Inn is a tavern in Eastmarch located in Kynesgrove. Braidwood inn is run by Iddra, who sells food and drinks. A room can be rented from her for 10 Gold for 24 hours. According to Delphine, the inn serves a "nice, dark ale." Most of Kynesgrove's characters can be found at the Braidwood Inn while they aren't working at the Steamscorch Mine or at the crops outside it.
Description: Vilemyr Inn is a tavern located in Ivarstead. The owner and barkeep is Wilhelm and he sells food and drinks and has rooms available for 10 coins. Lynly Star-Sung, formerly known as Svidi, is the bard and barmaid in Vilemyr Inn. She is encountered during the miscellaneous quest "Discover Svidi's Wherabouts," which is given by Sibbi Black-Briar in Riften Jail. Either persuade, bribe or threaten her so that she admits her real name is Svidi. Once she has admitted her real name, the options to lie to Sibbi Black-Briar or tell him the whereabouts of Svidi come up.
