The Staten Island Stapletons, or Stapes, were an NFL team from 1929 to 1932. This (as far as I know) an authentic design for a team patch. The team was done in by the small size of their home stadium. The stadium did have one bonus though. The team owner also owned a speakeasy joined to the stadium and after home games the players would go there to share a drink with the fans.
