This is an image of St. Genevieve, the Patron Saint of Paris (in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions). Her feast day is kept on January the 3rd. The statue is situated on Pont de la Tournelle in Paris. The sculpture is perhaps one of the most important symbols of Paris. Born in 423 in Nanterre, Genevieve was the daughter of a city magistrate.
