The rock of cashel is an iconic castle that stood as the center of power in Munster for centuries. It’s one of the coolest castle ruins in Ireland.

This image is of the "Round Tower", looking up through the ruins of the cathedral at the Rock of Cashel, in Ireland. Today, the tower remains as the oldest and tallest structure within the complex, with construction having started in the very early part of the 12th century, 1100. While the tower is the focal point of the image, the remarkable ruins of the old cathedral serve to frame the tower in the background.
