Comparisons to Motörhead are obvious as far as the band's blues driven, roadhouse swagger, though their slightly higher pitched vocals set them apart. Filth Hounds of Hades was their debut album and without question, their absolute best effort. The band grew a little more commercial with later releases, something that sadly didn't end up working in their favor.

The Basset Hound is a short-legged dog in the hound family. The Basset is a scent hound that was originally for hunting hare. Their sense of smell and ability to ground-scent is second only to the Bloodhound. Basset Hounds are one of six recognised 'basset'-type dogs in France. The name basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning 'low', with the attenuating suffix --et--together meaning 'rather low'. Basset Hounds are usually bicolours or tricolours of standard hound coloration.
