This is a HDR image made out of three pictures. When I came home from work I just saw the clouds of the upcoming thunder storm and the bright sun, and I knew I had to go to take some photos. The pictures were taken in Hagnau, Germany from a restaurant's jetty towards the village's jetty where tourists boats stop to load and unload passengers (as you cann see in the picture). Canon EOS 70D, 1/500 s (1), 1/1250 s (2), 1/200 s (3), f11, 15 mm.

Sullivan Bay is the site of Victoria's first white settlement back in 1803. The settlement was located on the eastern point. The two calcarenite headlands that border the 400 m long bay are known as The Sisters. A foreshore reserve backs the western half of the bay and the historic section of the eastern Sister. Houses and some private jetties are located along the eastern half of the bay. There is a public parking area just off the Nepean Highway in the centre of the bay.The beach faces north-east and receives usually low wind waves. It consists of a relatively narrow strip of sand, fronted by 100 to 200 m wide tidal sand flats.

Looking back from the Magnetic Island Barge after coming into the Townsville Harbour on the beginning of Ross Creek. The wharf stood out against the bright sunshine and storm clouds, to give it a black and white appearance. Beautiful golden rays of the setting sun hit St Kilda's famous Pier.

Capturing a serene, early evening scene in autumn, "Bay Watch" puts the spotlight on the mirror-like surface of a small bay that eventually empties into Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes). A small jetty is home to a couple of trees & tall grasses whose reflections appear in the calm water in the foreground, along with those of the softly-hued, mauve-tinged sky overhead. Further in the distance, a larger grouping of trees is also reflected in the water.

Glenridding (meaning “glen overgrown with bracken”) is a small, mainly tourist village at the southern end of Ullswater, near the foot of Kirkstone Pass. With the lead mining industry gone, the area is now mainly for the tourists who come to view one of the most beautiful areas in the Lakes. The area is popular with walkers with many walks to suit all levels from the easy to the more demanding. One reason a lot of walkers come here is to do the classic Helvellyn walk along Striding Edge. This is a walk not for the fainted hearted with Helvellyn reaching a height of 3,116ft [950m].

Remnants of what once was a pier that extended out into the ocean. Over the years, storms and the pounding of the waves have taken their toll and all that's left are these wooden pilings.
