He was virtually unknown and published only in pulp magazines before he died in poverty, but he is now regarded as one of the most significant 20th-century authors of horror and weird fiction. Lovecraft’s writing, particularly the so-called Cthulhu Mythos, has influenced fiction authors including modern horror and fantasy writers. He's shown in my illustration with a lot of tentacles, a few skulls and the Sigil of the Gateway behind him.

Description: Miskatonic University is a university located in Arkham, named after the Miskatonic River, which flows through the town. The school appears in numerous Cthulhu Mythos stories by Lovecraft and other writers. The Miskatonic University is a highly prestigious university, on par with Harvard University, in fact Harvard and Miskatonic are the two most popular schools for the children of the Massachusetts “Old Gentry”.

Description: You know when I got into this town, wasn't really all that thrilled with the hospitality. The folks here at inssmouth aren't exactly chatty, or friendly or even easy on the eyes… Or the nose. But you know, after a while something about this place gets you. I can't tell you how much I've changed in just the short time. All it took was a trip around Devils Reef. Now look at me feel right at home...
