Description: Gonna take you to a dive bar. The Tiki has had a greater influence on the modern art world than many realize. The 20th century saw a rise in American’s fascination with the Pacific Islands and their native culture. Images of the traditional life of native islanders captivated the residents of the Continental U.S. and brought about a desire to fill their mundane environment with some of the iconography of the islands. Post World War II returning GI’s brought back images of the Pacific Islands and the fascination with Tiki emerged. By the 1960s Tiki could be seen everywhere. It adorned buildings, restaurants, motels and all manner of advertising. Exports of authentic Tiki could not keep up with the demand.
Description: The Lighthouse Lounge is a rundown restaurant near Cannon Beach. It is the hideout of the Fratellis. The Lighthouse Lounge was, at one point, a "summer place", according to Chunk. It has two floors: a main one, which acts as the restaurant, and a basement. The main floor is littered with dusty and dirty wooden chairs and tables; a string of lights hangs over the kitchen, while lights that look like candles line the walls. The basement features multiple rooms, including a walk-in freezer, which houses both ice cream and a corpse at one point. It also has a garage, where the Fratellis keep their ORV.

Description: The Dude is mostly inspired by Jeff Dowd, an American film producer and political activist the Coen brothers met while they were trying to find distribution for their first feature, Blood Simple. Dowd had been a member of the Seattle Seven, liked to drink white Russians, and was known as "The Dude". The Dude was also partly based on a friend of the Coen brothers, Peter Exline, a Vietnam War veteran who reportedly lived in a dump of an apartment and was proud of a little rug that "tied the room together".
Description: Lee Triemert opened Lee's Liquor Lounge in Minneapolis in the late '50s, and ran it with his wife until he passed away in '76. Lou Sirian bought the bar in '77, but continued to call it Lee's, because Lou is the kind of guy who likes to keep things the way they are. That model seemed to work for Lou, as Lee's remained a mainstay of the city’s historically working-class North Loop neighborhood for decades. Housed in a 125-year-old former warehouse, Lee's was the go-to watering hole for blue collar employees for generations, but as the factories left, so did many of the customers. Lou brought in live music in the mid '80s, and this is when Lee's got its second wind as a music venue, with sort of a honky tonk dive bar vibe.
Description: The Overlook Hotel is a major recurring antagonist of the Stephen King multiverse. It serves as the main antagonist of the novel The Shining, it's 1980 film adaptation, it's 1997 miniseries, one of the two posthumous overarching antagonists (alongside Jack Torrance) of it's sequel Doctor Sleep, the overarching antagonist of it's 2019 film adaptation of the same name, and a minor antagonist of Billy Summers. It is also a mentioned in Misery, Castle Rock TV Series, and The Stand miniseries.
Description: The Regal Beagle pub was the local neighborhood hangout where the roommates usually relaxed and had some mixed drinks or a beer and a sandwich with each other, met each other, and their dates. Its main entrance, near where the main bar was located, contained one of three main sets: the roommates' apartment (#201), their landlord's apartment and the The Regal Beagle. Itself, all which were set minutes from the beach in Santa Monica, CA. Description: The Colorado Lounge is a large room inside of the Overlook Hotel. The Colorado Lounge is based on the similarly themed Great Lounge in the Ahwahnee Hotel. The Colorado Lounge was filmed at Stage 3 at Elstree Studios. The set required 700,000 volts of electricity to power the set. On January 24, 1979, the heat from the voltage caused the set to catch fire, which also caught Stage 3 on fire, burning it to the ground. It was later rebuilt the same year.
