For a year we had a piano down by the dam - it was decomposing. It was originally part of a sculptural installation by Australian artist Paloma Concierta consisting of 3 Pianos in a shopping centre arranged to facilitate musical conversation. People who came, enjoyed playing it as it fell apart in the weather. Getting more out of tune as the weeks went on.We had to remove it in the end. Foxes while sweet to look at are an introduced species in Australia and pose a serious conservation problem!! Due to its rapid spread and ecological impact it has *classified as one of the most damaging invasive species in Australia*. Foxes are killing machines and a huge problem to native species and farm animals. A plethora of different species make this place home. Our vineyard dog gave chase to this cub. Keeping chickens is difficult with foxes about... despite efforts to fence them in we have lost our chooks more than once....these animals do not just kill for food but slaughter anything in their wake.. European red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) were introduced into Australia in the mid nineteenth century by colonial huntsmen...

We grow grapes to make wine. Anyone directly involved with the wine industry post pruning knows in only a few months this vineyard will be in vintage. Magpie Springs is a rustic farm very close to the McLaren Vale in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region. The property has some of the oldest vines in the Southern Adelaide Hills.
