This cave can be found on the coast of the Isle of Arran (Scotland), just a short walk from Blackwaterfoot. There is a second in the background that is kept locked as it contains archaeology of early human use, but it is this one that caught my attention. The shape of the aperture could be that of a squash or an onion, but to me it looked like a whisky still - how appropriate for an island that had just started distilling its own whisky again (this was a few years ago, so it should be fully matured now). Painted wet into wet oil in one day on a 10x12 inch board.
