The view across the bay to the village of Nimborio on the Greek Island of Halki (Chalki). The church of Agios Nikolaos (built in 1861) has the highest bell tower in the Dodecanese and can be seen in the centre of the shot. We had a dramatic thunderstorm and torrential rain during the previous evening. Next morning, we found this little boat sunk in the crystal clear waters in the bay of Nimborio on the Greek Island of Halki (Chalki). It had filled with water during the storm. Halki is a small, charming island, part of the Dodecanese group of Greek islands, situated opposite the west coast of the Island of Rhodes. Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Photomatix Pro.

The last view of Nimborio Village, the only settlement on the beautiful Greek Island of Halki (Chalki) as we sailed out of Nimborio bay on the ferry back to Rhodes for our homeward journey.
