If you ask your average 'Joe Bloggs' on the streets where does plastic come from ~ the response you'd most likely get is "from the supermarket." In 2008, our global plastic consumption worldwide was estimated at 260 million tons! For decades now the petrochemical industries have been profiteering from churning out masses upon masses of plastic materials for a plethora of uses ~ as goods 'disposable' within society. As populations have expanded 'our lust' for consumables has grown... With this shift in mentality we have also moved away from the value and true measure of life ~ the capacity to care for animals and plants that surround us... We must learn again to love and cherish nature by repairing the damage that we have done.

Cookie a mature female and Coffee a mature male ~ possibly a mating pair have little chance of survival given the 'current climate' for Sharks. Its 'calamity' for them ~ a disaster far worse than "ground zero" with repercussions rippling across the marine biome ~ which will have a deleterious effect on man's future survival. Unless radical changes are made to protect life cycles of Sharks ~ the practice of the 'shark finning' and 'shark meat' industry is and will continue to rapidly rape the marine biodiversity on the Island of Borneo. If populations become too sparse ~ gene pools will weaken and sharks will drop out of the Ocean equation ~ a disaster far greater than 911.
