When constructed this was the worlds longest single span suspension bridge. The distance between the two uprights is approx 1.4 KM, nearly a mile. The overall length of the bridge is well in excess of a mile. The river it spans is the Hull. The bridge on the north bank is in Hessle, a small village about 6 miles outside the city of Kingston Upon Hull, or more commonly known simply as Hull. Feats of engineering like this always fascinate me and to have had the opportunity to go onto the north bank foreshore of the Hull and get this shot was simply amazing. Bridge over the River Wye Number of views as of 18th July 2018 = 2380. This bridge crosses the river Wye in the border town of Chepstow, south Wales. The bridge was opened in 1816. Bridge over the River Wensum in the city of Norwich on a dull and overcast winter's day

A wooden bridge crossing the River Pang as it flows through Moor Copse nature reserve on the outskirts of Tidmarsh in Berkshire. The Pang flows from the Berkshire Downs to Pangbourne where it meets the Thames. This image was taken during a summer walk through the woodland and captures the play of light and shade as the sun beams through the trees.

The historical Fye Bridge over the River Wensum, Magdalen Street in the city of Norwich, Norfolk. Fye Bridge is just one of the many bridges over the River Wensum and whilst it has been rebuilt several times over the years there has been a bridge in this location since 1153.

A wooden footbridge crossing the River Pang in the woodland at Moor Copse near Tidmarsh in Berkshire. The River Pang is one of England's much valued chalk streams which are rich in wildlife. The river starts its life on the Berkshire (North Wessex) Downs near the village of Compton and winds its way through West Berkshire to finally meet the River Thames at Pangbourne.
