There’s nothing so soft and so delicate as first willow catkins. Spring is many days away, yet, once you see those soft little paws, you’ll know, it’s already coming. Stamp featured on the painting is the author’s “signature”, carved in tensho calligraphy characters. The style used is known as Japanese ink wash painting, sumi-e and suibokuga. Materials used: rice paper, Chinese dry ink and animal hair brush.
