This surreal digital collage is my tribute to American mob movies. From "The Godfather" to "The Sopranos", I was always fascinated by this movie genre. So I pictured this strange scene, starting from a classic Cadillac, although this is not any ordinary car, but rather a living being, a killer car, a Don on four wheels. Of course, a feared and respectable Don must wear a hat and is always armed with a Tommy Gun. The image has many quirky details, from bullet wholes or blood stains, to the crime scene body outline drawn with chalk on the cobblestone pavement. And what better place for this whimsical scene than a 20s - 30s Chicago, during Prohibition, the time of Al Capone and ... Don Cadillacchio.

Born in Brooklyn, Alphonse Capone was an American gangster who attained fame during the Prohibition era as the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit. His seven-year reign as crime boss ended when he was 33 years old. The Al Capone design from Hellwood is inspired by the infamous mobster, Alcatraz resident and Public Enemy No. 1.

The old "Tommy Gun" went by a lot of names, including the Trench Broom and the Gun That Made the Twenties Roar... but I've always like Chicago Typewriter.
