This is my original artwork of an all-blue male Indigo Bunting. Sometimes nicknamed "blue canaries," these brilliantly colored yet common and widespread birds, whistle their bouncy songs through the late spring and summer all over eastern North America.

Branching out almost like a tree ~ this stunning backdrop of Gorgonian fan coral adds shelter from the drifting currents. Blue damsels dance amidst courting pairs of bluestriped sabretooth blennies and green 'moon' wrasse.

The Pink Quill also Kamehameha’s Paddle is a flowering plant in the bromeliad family. It is native to Ecuador but is one of the most widely cultivated tillandsias.

Lion's mane jellyfish (Cyanea capillata). Lion's mane jellyfish are the largest known species of jellyfish. They can reach over 2 metres across with tentacles of around 30 metres long, containing millions of nematocysts (stinging cells). They range from Arctic waters to the coasts of Florida, USA, and Mexico.

The 'Day Octopus' ~ Octopus cyanea ~ which hunts by day ~ and hence has an extraordinary ability to camouflage itself rapidly ~ changing it's shape, skin texture and colour to match it's surroundings when threatened or when ambushing its prey... Here the Day Octopus is seen blending into the foreground by mimicking the texture and flattened shape of 'double star coral'.
