Home on the Broads Number of views as of 24th January 2018 = 930. A desirable residence on the Broads near Wroxham, Norfolk. The Broads are a network of (mostly navigable) rivers and lakes in the English counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. The Broads and surrounding land is a specially protected area, managed in a similar way to UK National Parks. The total area is 303 square kilometres (117 square miles), most of which is in Norfolk, with over 200 kilometres (120 miles) of navigable waterways. There are seven rivers and 63 broads, the majority less than 4 metres deep. Thirteen broads are generally open to navigation, with a further three having navigable channels. Date: 11th August 2010. Weybourne Tower Mill Number of views as of 26th January 2018 = 570. The village of Weybourne (North Norfolk, England) had two mills, a water mill and this fine 5 storey brick-built windmill built in 1850. The mill was worked for over 60 years by a succession of millers, who must have found it hard to make a living as at least one went bankrupt. The mill changed hands numerous times during the last century and various restoration work was carried out. It was sold for £125,000 in 1982 - quite a large sum at the time, but looking at the condition of the mill and adjacent property today, and considering current prices, that would appear to have been a sound investment.
