La Processione degli incappucciati ad Enna: the procession of the hoodeds is the most important yearly event in Enna. Thousands of tourists follow this procession. Events succeed during the whole Holy Week but the most impressive events is sure the procession on Good Friday. It's a torchlight procession where over 2500 hooded members of religious brotherhoods partecipate. Every brotherhood has different colours and the procession is very impressive. The statues of the Dead Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows are transported at the rythm of a funeral march.

The Duomo (Cathedral), a noteworthy example of religious architecture in Sicily, built in the 14th century by queen Eleonora, Frederick III's wife, but largely renovated after the fire of 1446. The great Baroque facade, in yellow tufa-stone, is surmounted by a massive campanile with finely shaped decorative elements. The portal on the right side is from the 16th century, while the other is from the original 14th century edifice. The interior has a nave with two aisles separated by massive Corinthian columns, and three apses. The stucco decoration is from the 16th and 17th centuries. Easter Procession 2006 Holy Week celebrations in Enna begin on Palm Sunday with the procession of the Confraternities from their own churches to the Cathedral accompanied by the town band playing funeral marches. From Palm Sunday to Holy Wednesday the fifteen Confraternities, in their characteristic Spanish costumes, spend an hour in adoration of the Eucharist displayed on the main altar in the Cathedral. On Good Friday at 5 p.m. the Society of the Passion of Christ leaves its church and, joined in via Roma by all the other
