This is another one of my fluoro abstracts, with a geometric theme. One of my favourite things is to create intersecting lines to form triangles and geometric shapes which I then fill with fluoro patterning. If your sofa looks a bit sad and sorry, perhaps brighten it up with one of my colourful fluoro cushions?

When I am not somewhere where I can set up my paints or printmaking equipment I like to occupy my time doing fluoro work, usually just on paper. I particularly like angular geometric shapes, but in this one I tried to be a little “looser” and put in curves. Sometimes these are large other times they are small enough just to be used as a card or laminated to use as a bookmark. I like the textured effect the fabric gives to the print. Although I like the original print, I recognize people have different colour preferences and so I have digitally altered the original print so as to offer a choice of colors to my customers, in this case bright yellow with pink.

I like the textured effect the fabric gives to the print. Although I like the original print, I recognize people have different colour preferences and so I have digitally altered the original print so as to offer a choice of colors to my customers, in this case bright blue tones - such fun!

I took some of my hand printed monoprints, cut them up and collaged them and then digitally altered it on photoshop and this is the result.

The Boxed in Abstract was a monoprint I made using a gelli plate, fabric dyes and acrylics. After I had hand pulled it I felt that the colours were not as bright as I had intended them to be. I took a photograph of it and then played around a little on the computer and made some digitally altered brighter versions of the print that I feel are guaranteed to brighten up any dark corners!

A small tangle I coloured in and then scanned. Used photoshop to create a pattern with it.
