The 3rd Infantry Division (nicknamed "The Rock of the Marne)"is an Infantry division of the United States Army based at Fort Stewart, Georgia. It is a direct subordinate unit of the XVIII Airborne Corps and U.S. Army Forces Command. Its current organization includes one Infantry and two armored brigade combat teams, one aviation brigade, a division artillery and support elements. The Sapper Tab is a military badge of the United States Army which was authorized on June 28, 2004 by the Army Chief of Staff, General Peter Schoomaker. To be awarded the Sapper Tab, a service member may or may not hold the military occupation specialty code (MOS) designation as a Combat Engineer (Sapper), but must have graduated from the Sapper Leader Course (SLC), that the U.S. Army Engineer School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, operates. The school falls under the 169th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade. This award is retroactive back to the graduates of the first SLC on June 14, 1985.

Deep underground in Battery Mishler at fort Stevens Oregon are corridors and hallways to explore via an underground tour of what was a harbor defense command post during world War II, and a harbor entrance control post during World War I. It was in use as early as 1890 if I recall correctly. if you take the tour stay close to your guide because it is seriously dark in there and getting lost could be dangerous and spooky. Bring a good flashlight and non slip shoes. The floor is damp the ceilings are drippy with wetness, the beams are rusty and corroded, and the concrete walls are aged with time. The United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), USACAPOC(A), or CAPOC was founded in 1985 and is headquartered at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Hwaseong Fortress was constructed by Jeongjo, the 22nd king of the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910), to strengthen his power, eradicate party conflict, and fortify the southern area of the capital. Construction was started along Mt. Paldalsan in January 1794 and completed in September 1796. It covers a large area. Takes about 3 hours + to walk round.
