Frozen Niagara Falls Magnets

One of the best albums of all time as a Game cartridge!

It's hard to imagine that Niagara Falls, one of the most powerful falls in the world, has frozen over. Well, not entirely true this time around (it has in the past). This image was taken during the last week of February 2015; it shows the US side of Niagara Falls almost totally frozen with very restricted flow in the Niagara River and huge solid chunks of ice at the bottom of the falls. Not to mention that the temperature was about 35 degrees Celsius - on the minus scale that is, with extreme weather warning conditions!!! Burrr......... Continuing with the "freezing" series, this image shows the pathway that runs along the Niagara River parkway and Niagara Falls in the City of Niagara Falls. Now typically, on a "normal" day, this route would be crowded with tourists and photographers. Not this time of year!!! This image was taken during the last week of February 2015 with deep freeze weather warning conditions!!! Needless to say, I was the only idiot out there with a camera!!! Hope you like this. This is another image in this series; this one showing Niagara Falls on the Canadian side (the Horseshoe Falls). I'm not sure if I'm glad I missed it by a week. I was told that the week before I took this image (which was the last week of February 2015), the edge of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side was almost totally frozen, something you see only once every 60 or 70 years. And just on a side note, when I was there last week, deep freeze weather warnings were in effect!!! SO what the hell was I thinking taking pictures?? This building (Table Rock) with its entrance is a popular spot for tourists to stop and enjoy some food, drinks and souvenirs after a long walk along the Niagara Parkway passing by the falls on both the US side and the Canadian side. Except for this time of year, as you can see, the entrance is.... well..... restricted!!! And of course the entire area looks quite deserted. Naturally, I had to suffer the long walk back in deep freeze conditions with no hot chocolate on a day like this to warm me up.
