Sometimes the tide is with us, and sometimes against. But we keep swimming either way.

Go Against the Flow Christian Fish Symbol Jesus Christ Savior Stations of the Cross or Via Crucis, refers to a series of 15 images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem is believed to be the actual path Jesus walked to Calvary. Through the stations the Christian faithful make a spiritual pilgrimage through meditations on the Passion of Christ.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light! from the poem entitled "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953, written in connection with his father's death. The line is a strong invocation for us to live boldly and to fight. It implores us to not just "go gentle into that good night," but to rage against it. Even at the end of life, when "grave men" are near death, the poem instructs us to burn with life. The poem's meaning is life affirming.

Be Mermaid but don't go with the tide

Christians all over the world use the fish symbol as witness of faith. Fish are mentioned and given symbolic meaning several times in the Gospels. Several of Jesus Twelve Apostles were fishermen and He commissions them as fishers of men. The ichthys, fish, is a symbol known as the sign of Jesus fish and in the early church Christians used this symbol as an identifying mark between the first followers of Jesus Christ. Jesus multiplies the loaves and fish to feed the multitude in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus compares God's decision on who will go to heaven or to hell ("the fiery furnace") at the end of this world to fishers sorting out their catch, keeping the good fish and throwing the bad fish away.

Saw You in a Dream is the fourth extended play by English indie pop act the Japanese House, released on 30 June 2017 through Dirty Hit. It was preceded by Swim Against the Tide, and was followed by her debut album Good at Falling, released 1 March 2019. Upon release, it received mostly positive reviews from critics, with some criticism for a lack of deviation from Bain's established style. I took one of my acrylic abstracts and digitally played around with it and after some cutting, pasting and re colouring, this is the result. Something really bright guaranteed to be noticed!
