The famous frontal of York Minster in fine HDR. As with all my HDR images, fine details such as people are painted back in from one single image to create a more photorealistic image. York Minster is one the largest gothic cathedrals in Europe. The present cathedral was begun in 1230, but the site had been used for religeous buildings since 627. Trips to the roof are arduous, but give a great view of the surrounding vale of York. An urban HDR, and an image that would not have worked without the bus stopping here. York Minster can be seen in the background. The odd colours and partial ghosting that can appear on people that have moved slightly in this level of HDR has been removed by painting back in the figures from one of the original images. A nighttime HDR photo of a colorfully illuminated abandoned steel plant. This photo turned out so vibrant and colorful that it could as well have been taken on a different planet than earth, or be a scene from a sci-fi movie. The stars in the night sky behind it are also clearly visible.
